iRCODER is an application that can only be accessed by users authorized by contract agreement.

As iRCODER is a web-based application, this Internet Privacy Policy (this "Policy") describes how iRCODER.COM^® protects data classified as protected health information (PHI) under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). As used in this Policy, the term "personal information" means information that identifies you personally, alone or in combination with other information available to us. Data refers to identifiers of a patient that may be entered, stored, or transmitted to/from iRCODER.COM^® for processing purposes.

Limitations on the Collection, Use and Disclosure of Data

Any data used in the iRCODER application belongs to the contracted customer. To the extent required by applicable law, whenever iRCODER.COM^® collects data on the iRCODER.COM^® application, iRCODER.COM^® will:

• only collect, use, disclose and transfer data that is required for the processing of services on iRCODER.COM^®, as contracted by the User, which may be a company, hospital, clinic, physician’s group, or office, individual or other contracted entity.
• collect data only for specific, limited purposes. The information we collect will be relevant, adequate, and not excessive for the purposes for which it is collected.
• process data in a manner consistent with the purposes for which it was originally collected or to which the customer has subsequently consented.
• operate as a Business Associate of the customer and adhere to all confidentiality and privacy clauses therein.

Information Collected on iRCODER.COM^® Application and How It May Be Used

When you access and use iRCODER.COM^®, there are three (3) ways we may collect information about you:

1. Information Sent to Us by Your Web Browser

   iRCODER.COM^® collects information that is sent to us automatically by your web browser. This information typically includes the IP address of your Internet service provider, the name of your operating system (such as Macintosh^® or Windows^®) and the name and version of your browser (such as Microsoft Edge^® or Google Chrome^®). To ensure the privacy of data related to patient information that is entered and stored in iRCODER.COM^®, we use secure socket layer (SSL) technology. Any data at rest or in transit between the iRCODER application and the customer is encrypted to comply with the deidentification and security requirements of HIPAA.

Encrypted Files

iRCODER.COM^® utilizes secure private networks to transmit data and encryption for emails between the application and the customer.

Although we use security measures including encryption and decryption to help protect data from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, or alteration, as is the case with all computer networks linked to the Internet, we cannot guarantee total and absolute security of information provided over the Internet and will not be responsible for breaches of security beyond our reasonable control.
